Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Most people undress to their comfort level, and are covered with a sheet and blanket during the massage, with only the area being worked on exposed.
How long is a typical session?
Sessions usually last between 60, 75, or 90 minutes.
Is it okay to wear perfumes?
We don’t encourage wearing any strong scents, deodorant is fine, strong perfumes are discouraged during a session.
Do I need to do anything special to prepare?
Drinking water before and after the session to flush out any toxins is very helpful. Arriving a few minutes early is always encouraged.
Do I need to communicate with the therapist?
I generally plan in a few minutes to communicate before our session, so we can let you rest and relax without talking during the massage. However, I very much appreciate communications if you need the pressure to be adjusted or have any other concerns during your massage.
Are there any contraindications?
Some conditions like skin infections, recent surgeries, may require you to avoid massage for a while or get clearance from your doctor.
Should I tip the therapist?
It is never expected, but always appreciated.
